Third Person's POV Aiden's thumb swiped against the Alpha's cheek, and he felt the wetness of Thaddeus's tears. Thaddeus squeezed the Omega tighter when he realized he was crying. The Alpha only recalls crying twice: once when his father died and once when his first mate rejected him. Now, he's crying again after learning what happened to Aiden. Xander, who was sitting on the floor in the corner holding Abigail as she cried, stood up, wrapped his mate tightly in his arms, and left the office. When the door closes, Aiden slowly pulls back. His hand rested against the Alpha's cheek as he searched his face. The Omega is shocked to see the Alpha crying. The Alpha reaches up and takes the Omega's face into his hands. “Baby, I'm so sorry that happened to you. I'm sorry, I should have looked for you. I should have found you. None of that should have happened to you,” Thaddeus's voice cracked as he spoke. The Alpha rests his forehead against Aiden's, and his thumb caresses his cheek.
A Broken Alpha Chapter 25 Getting Ready
Third Person's POV Aiden races up the stairs and past the Alpha's apartment. He swings his door open and is once again amazed that he has his own room and his own bed. Not an old sleeping bag that he found in the garbage. Not a damp, dark, cold basement, but a beautiful room all to himself. The Alpha gave him his own room a week ago. Along with a room, he has a closet full of new clothes and a bathroom with a shower all to himself. The Omega loves his shower. Every chance he gets, he takes one. Third Person's POV Xander knew Aiden's Alpha hurt him, but he didn't know how bad it was or the conditions he was forced to live in. Xander didn't know what was worse, hearing how Aiden had to live or what the sick, twisted son did to his Luna. Xander has never hated someone so much. He's never wanted to kill someone so badly. Third Person's POV This time, Aiden was cautious as he went down the stairs. He didn't want to run into anyone again. The Omega wanted to be as invisible as he could. As Aiden came down the last flight of stairs, Thaddeus came into view. He saw the Alpha waiting for him by the door. He wore black washed jeans with a hole on the right knee and another high up on his thigh near his pocket on his left leg. Third Person's POV Aiden nervously nibbles on his lip as he approaches Thaddeus. He looks at the lake and finds It's beautiful. The water is still, and the sun shines down on it, reflecting its beauty. Aiden scans the blanket, trying to decide where to sit. Sitting across from Thaddeus on the other side of the basket was too far away for the Omega. He wanted to be near him, as close as he could. The Omega slowly sat down next to Thaddeus and let out a breath as he looked forward toward the water. The day was sunny, and a soft, warm breeze blew against the Omega's delicate skin. Aiden glanced around. A large, beautiful blanket lay under them, and several throw pillows lay along the edges. How could it feel so magical when tongues weren't even involved? How does his touch hold so much power? Third Person's POV Aiden blushes when Thaddeus pulls his pants back and wipes up the sticky mess before doing the same to himself. It was embarrassing, but at the same time, it made Aiden feel cared for. Once Thaddeus was done, he leaned over Aiden and caressed his face as he looked down at him. His eyes raked over the Omega's face, “Are you okay?” Thaddeus asked, concerned he might have gone too far, too fast. “Yes,” Aiden replied softly. “I'm sorry… I tried to hold back. I didn't want to push you too fast. I didn't want you to feel like you had to do something you weren't ready for yet. Third Person's POV Aiden came out of the shower with a towel wrapped around his waist. He had a faraway look on his face as he walked toward the bed. The Omega exhaled as he turned around and let his body fall back onto the bed. He stared at the ceiling with a smile. He brought his hands to his lips and closed his eyes as he remembered what Thaddeus's lips felt like against them. Aiden trailed his hand along his neck, remembering Thaddeus's lips against it. His fingers glide along his neck, and a shiver runs down his spine when he touches the spot Thaddeus has chosen to place his mark. He knows Thaddeus chose that spot. He left a bright red mark from sucking on it, and Winter refused to heal it. The silly wolf proudly puffed his chest out when he saw the mark in the mirror. It wasn't an official claiming mark, but it was still given to them by their Alpha. Winter wants it to stay there as long as possible.
