CHAPTER 96

Jaida pushed open the door to her house, taking off her shoes and setting down her book bag. She just sighed as she went into the living room and plopped down on the couch. She was tired, and it's not like anyone could blame her. She had just gone to another planet where she had been anything but welcome…though it hadn't been so bad. Not all Deslyans were human hating jerks.

Arius came into the living room just as Jaida turned on the television. They had nothing else to do right now since Ms. Carlson wasn't home and they had finished their homework in school. Jaida just flipped through channels, looking for something of interest. She eventually landed on a news station, and the words out of the reporter's mouth quickly caught her interest.

"In other news, it seems more and more buildings have been burning down lately," he began, shuffling through his stack of papers. "Just today, the old warehouse on main mysteriously burst into flame
