“Who would it be other than you?” Michael had an icy expression on his face as the rim of his eyes draped in coldness. “Are you saying that my mom would slap herself intentionally? Are you saying that’s how she fell and fainted?”

It did not feel good to be accused of something she did not do, and honestly, Christina had not been expecting Heather’s apology a few days prior.
