I wrenched the phone away from my ears, surprised that Nathan wasn't picking up the phone. That bothered the shit out of me. What made me even more worried was that I had just left his company and his secretary had told me he was going out.

Okay perhaps my decision to see him at the office had been totally whimsical. I had been around the area to attend to something Mrs Hampton wanted. When I'd seen his company gleaming in the distance, I had impulsively walked into it.

Damn now I regret it.

I just wanted to confirm if he was fine and I would leave.

Yeah sure, you're definitely not doing this because you miss him.

So what if I missed him? I sighed. He had been so busy with the Eduardo shenanigans that he barely had time for me. As if I didn't need his attention either.
