Chapter 50

Zeta's pov

I gradually stirred awake, a gentle knock on the door,

Gazing at the wall clock it was past 12 I had slept the whole night and morning.

The knock came again and I knew it couldn't be Belinda her knocks were never gentle. It was like she wanted to break down my door.

With a heavy sigh, I rose from the bed and opened the door to find Jen. The only person I could cry on her shoulders.

"My lady, I'm really sorry about the pain and trouble Belinda is causing you," Jen whispered softly, her eyes filled with concern.

I mustered a weak smile, appreciating her empathy. "Thank you, Jen. It means a lot to me."

I stepped back then Jen stepped into the room, closing the door behind her.

"Jen I can't do this anymore I've tried Jen I can't" My eyes were heavy I'm sure I had eye bags that could carry potatoes in them.

Jen nodded her head negatively "My lady, I understand that you're tired and hurting, but you can't leave. You can't let Belinda win you've come so far to quit now"
