Pointless

Lorenzo laid there in annoyance as he watched her answered the phone.

Fabiola wondered why Lucien was calling.

“Good morning”She began.

“Oh,Fab.Did you sleep well?”

“I did.”

“Em…do you have any plans for today?”

She frowned.”I don’t work on weekends.”Fabiola reminded.

“No…no.It’s not work related.You know you’ve been a bit off this past week.Sad even,I just wanted us to go out so you could cheer up.”

“Oh,Thanks for your concern but I’m okay.I’m more than okay and I have plans with my husband today.”She announced,excitedly.

Lucien fell quiet for a while.

“I’m hanging up now.”She murmured.

“Sure,enjoy your day.”With that,the call ended.

Fabiola placed her phone on the table and rolled back into Lorenzo’s arms but she noticed he seem stiff.

“Why did he say?”He asked,coldly.

“Nothing important.”

“Did he seriously want you to come to work on a Saturday?”He thundered.
