CH23 Unexpected Visitor
Vee's POV:
I spent the day soaking in the tub with a can of wolfweiser. Only to put on comfortable clothes because I was finally able to relax and watch The Bachelor. I had curled up on my love seat with a bowl of kettle corn popcorn and another can of wolfweiser. I was different from the norm. With a movie projector instead of a flat-screen. I was able to stream my shows from my phone to the white sheets hung up. I felt old-fashioned as I loved the feel of the theatre it brought me. Even though I was settled back into my normal routine... I felt lost. It didn't feel right. I didn't feel right leaving Josephine there at that station. Something was eating away at me. In the bathtub I had decided it was because something just... Wasn't right. It was too late to go to the station. But, in the morning I decided to pay Beta Matthew a visit. Matthew's POV: "Sir there was an unknown car parked outside of town. We had it impounded. Here are the coordinates it was found and licence plate number," Gabriel the same guy from before came up with a report to drop off by my desk. There were attached photos of the vehicle. Continuing Vee's POV: I had to stop and get gas at the old 'Pit Stop' which was a mile outside of town. It wasn't that far from my cabin. I had to get back to Nathalie as fast as possible. The longer she's alone the higher the risk of her being caught could be. I didn't even want to think of a possible pack member stopping by and catching a whiff of her scent. Things would be over instantly. I walked into the old store. The only way to pay for gas was at the cashregister inside. I picked up two chocolate candy bars. Telling Nathalie the big news would have to be done by eating chocolate. I paid for the gas and candy bars before heading back out to my car. I took the case file with me inside when I got back home. Josephine's POV:I was in the depth of despair. Not sure where reality and my imagination separated. I was still in my cell. The same boring gray cement blocks and the bolted heavy door that kept me trapped. Across from me was tripping. Glitching almost. The room was different. I could see both sides. Jossie's POV: We reached a path up to a cabin that had the familiar scents of Veronica written all over it. Casimir let me off when the cabin was in sight. A blizzard had followed us to the cabin.
