Ch. 49 Wasteland

Dillon’s POV

Zoe’s claws drew blood as they sunk into my forearms, but whether she was trying to get out of my hold or anchor herself to me, I couldn’t tell.

“You sent the video.” She hissed at Blair.

Her words hit me like an oncoming train, nearly crushing me as the truth of them sunk in. As soon as Zoe made the accusation, I knew she was right. But even so, the twisted grin on Blair’s face confirmed just how proud she was of the act.

I lunged forward before anyone could stop me, and wrapped my hands around her throat, squeezing painfully. My wolf was in control, snarling and teeth snapping inches from her face as she fought for air.

“St-, stop,” she coughed out, clawing at my hands, trying to loosen my grasp.

“Dorian, let her go.” Zoe spoke softly to my wolf, placing her hand on my back and rubbing it gently. “She’s not worth it. Let Dillon come back.”
