Chapter Thirty-nine: I Have a Mate.

"This can't work," Helia said to a wide-eyed Dylan. Everyone present had taken their eyes off the screen to watch them instead.

"What the fuck is wrong with you?" Dylan was utterly shocked at her reaction.

"I have a mate," Helia announced, and afterward, she stood up from where she sat and walked out of the room. Dylan watched her go, trying to decipher and come to terms with what had happened.

Helia sighed in frustration as she left the room. Tired of how everything had been going, she fell on her butt to the ground and relaxed on the wall behind her. She bowed her head and faced the ground. Helia let the tears she had been holding fall freely to the ground as she messed up her hair without minding what the people passing thought of her.

"I knew it'll end this way." More tears dropped as she heard the familiar voice.

"Why are you here?"

"I followed you."

"Life sucks."

"Death sucks the most."
