Forty-Eight: What Happened Last Night.

Sofia forced her eyes open to the intensity of the sun beating in through the windows and spearing her temples. Her eyelids were heavy as she struggled to sit up. She was in a bed that she didn’t even remember entering.

Her memory was all foggy and her head was like forks were bashing into each other.

It was a hungover headache and she didn’t even remembering drinking so much. The last thing she recalled was walking away from Oscar and finding her way out the front doors. A glimpse of Annie’s face flashed in her migraine-troubled head and she gasped softly.

There was concern in her eyes and a voice that called back to her.

“Where are you going, Sofia?” She asked.

The next second, she was purged of the memory and even she couldn’t answer that question now—where she went. All she knew was that finally, it wasn’t night anymore. It was a fresh day and she was willing to put everything behind her, but only after she could just find out where she was. She reached for her phone on the coun
