The blogs loved had their fun, the social media platforms had their fill and even the company reeled from the massive influx of reactions and before I knew it, Renaissance was trending again.

I had to ignore calls for days as I impatiently waited for the buzz to die down. Meanwhile, the person behind the whole thing was generating revenue from my controversy. I had to beef up security just in case Isabella was being harassed online and offline.

The internet could be brutal and unforgiven. Isabella was forlorn for most of the few days the news about her mother circulated. Someone had to pay for this. Today, I convinced Isabella to stay home.
