Chapter 3;

The next day, in a room in the Morris mansion, a loud shrill voice was heard from the bedroom, Colin, her younger brother ran towards the room,

"Arya, what’s going on?"

Arya stared up at him, the phone etched in her arms, she stared and stared at him, her breath growing raspy.

He snatched the phone from her hand, and stared at the headlines, his face paling.

"Devon Brookes, you kissed Devon Brookes!" He yelled loudly.

She lunged the pillow at him, "I didn’t know he was Devon Brookes, how in the heck was I supposed to know," She sulked. She had kissed Devon Brookes, everyone knew who Devon Brookes was, he was the god of business, they all cherished him, he was feared, marked as dangerous, and therefore, she had kissed him, without even knowing him.

She slumped on the bed, her voice growing worried. "What am I supposed to do?"

Colin nodded his head, though a fifteen year old, his brain worked faster than any other normal human being. "You could apologize to him, and maybe, he would take heart." He said.

She sighed, the news was all over social media, caption, 'Lady kisses CEO Devon Brookes for the first time, though, he had not made any public appearance after the kiss, but the public are waiting to listen to his answers. Who was that lady? And how close is she to the CEO?' and then the ten seconds of her kissing Devon was played.

Her life was completely over.

Was she going to face him? What would he say to the public? That she was a pervert?

"Go," She turned to her brother. "I will think of something."

Colin nodded turning to the door.

She lifted her phone, and stared at the messages, countless messages popped in from her friends.

'You kissed a CEO?'

'Are you out of your mind Arya?'

'Do you know who he is?'

Ethan’s messages, Nicholas, Nicole and Emma, with some words of scolding from Emily, her friends.

She lunged the phone across the room, breathing in and out, she needed to talk to someone, and that someone was Wanda, she even needed to get to work.

-

"You kissed Devon Brookes?" Wanda widened her eyes in horror.

"Keep your voice down, we are at work." Arya arranged the rack filled with clothes, presently, she worked in Clara’s clothing plaza, with her friend Wanda.

"I can’t believe you," Wanda walked away from the counter. "Did he agree?"

She peered her gaze down, biting her lower lip. "I don’t want to talk about it,"

"How can we not talk about this? Kissing Devon Brookes is not some talk that can be extended, you have to do something, he’s dangerous, and he could destroy you."

Arya bulged her eyes, Wanda was actually right.

He could ruin her, with the snap of his fingers, had she affronted him? Was he livid that she had kissed him, she sighed.

She leaned against the counter, her fingers crossed. "Just keep it low from now, I will think of something, I always do." And, even she knew, she never thought of something, she needed advice, some words of support.

Wanda gazed at her wristwatch, “My break is over, I have to get back to work, and I will see you later.” She walked away hurriedly.

A sigh escaped Arya’s chapped lips, her eyes studying the clothes, all her life, she had always wished she owned her own clothing plaza, she had been a fashion designer since she was little, her hands held the texture of the clothes, and she smiled, maybe, that’s the only thing that brought joy to her heart.

The door dinged open, and a couple, hands in hands, walked in, smiling graciously.

As soon as Arya saw them, she walked towards the other side of the rack, and buried herself behind the clothes; she certainly was not in a good mood to see those two.

"Hubby," Anna dragged her husband’s arm, smiling ruefully, “I want this dress, and the necklace."

Kelvin gazed at the price tag, his face losing all color, his eyes moving over to Anna, ever since he had married her, endlessly, she had been demanding for more things, it was frustrating to have that kind of wife,

"Why don’t we get this maybe next week." He hooked her arm around hers, she gazed at him darkly.

"What do you mean?" she asked, he eyes cornering over to his.

He gulped down nothing in particular. "I will get it for you,"

She shrugged her shoulders, suddenly staring around, until her glance landed in one particular figure. "Come along," she dragged him and he followed her.

"If it isn’t Arya, I am surprised that you still work here."

Arya winced with disgust, staring at the couple, Anna and Kelvin; they never ceased to amaze her.

mAre you here to get something?" She raised her brows, motioning her hands to the laptop. "Last time you came here, you said you would come back later. Couldn’t you afford it?" Her tone was straight, sending the couple to right where they belonged.

Anna coughed; surely, she couldn’t feel inferior. "At least, we can afford to go to nice places, while you are here, still working here."

"Clara’s is my friend." Arya said through gnashed teeth, that was right, they had all been friends, all of them, but since Anna betrayed her, Clara decided to stick with Anna.

"She was your friend." Anna smiled ruefully.

"Why are you here?" Arya seemed tired, as her eyes reflected.

"Can’t I buy something here anymore?" her voice grew cold, and she raised her hand in an objection to hit her, "Gosh, you monster,"

"Don’t you dare hit her!" A deep masculine voice was heard next.
