Chapter 14

I took out a seal that I had saved and rolled her wrists quickly.

I dropped him to the ground unconscious and turned to Ryder. The guy was all over him hitting his face like I had done with his partner. For a moment, I stared, a little beating wouldn't hurt that idiot, right?

Well well, yeah.

I jumped on the bed crumpling the red sheets I had. I kicked the man in the head and he fell flat on the ground. Ryder got up half-limping. I walked around the guy and wrapped the other band around his wrist.

"You were late," she reproaches me.

— Sorry, next time I'll wait until they break your nose.

His nose was horrible, I didn't stop to look at it for a long time and it seems that he felt uncomfortable touching it to check how bad it was.

We turned and saw the men we came for hanging from chains attached to the ceiling, barely four inches from their feet and the floor. Both were wet, bruised and looked exhausted, one was unconscious. We free them and help them sit on the ground.
