Chapter 11
Daffodil walked into a massive library. A large empty space lay ahead of her on entering with a large window opposite that bathed the smooth floor with sunlight.
The floor began carpeted a little distance to her right and spread on underneath shelves and shelves of books. Only two students sat at a table underneath the large window and Daffodil couldn’t help the feeling of gentle warmth stir in her stomach.
Such an expansive place and she would love to manage it for the time she was there.
Daryl had said it was a ‘temporary’ job and the petite Half-Fairy hoped she would be able to keep her job for longer than just a few days.
Her two friends stood just outside the library, helping a student find a classroom and Daffodil turned around to watch the door, waiting for them to return.
