Unfinished Business

She paced around the room, waiting for Madison's arrival. She picked up the piece of paper on the bed and looked at the contact written boldly in it. A thought struck her and she picked up her phone immediately.

She breathed a sigh of relief as the phone rang and she could now believe the person she had seen at the park wasn't a ghost.

"Nat," Alex's voice sounded in whispers through the phone.

"Alex!" She called with excitement, running into the bathroom to avoid being heard.

"Nat.. I'm glad you called," Alex said from the phone.

"Oh, I thought it was all a nightmare, but speaking to you right now has made everything real," she said with a smile.

"Thank you, Nat. How is my baby?" She asked immediately.

"He is doing great," she replied.

"And Adrian?" She asked again.

"They're both great. Madison is yet to arrive. I gave her a call earlier," she said.

"Oh..um..do you think it's wise to let Madison in at the moment?" Alex asked.

"I don't think so; she has just been engaged to Jason and I
