Chapter 57:

The moment that Jeremy strutted into the restaurant, he knew the air changed. Someone who filled the room with her kindness was here, and he felt eager to see her after all the years.

"Jeremy!" He heard that sweet voice from years ago. He traced the two figures whispering to themselves. Smiling silently, he trudged over to them.

He slung his jacket on the chair, before saying, "Jayci. You look so much better. How are you?"

Aubrey glanced over to them, before smiling at her sister. "We missed you so much, Jayci."

"Oh. My. Goodness." Jayci chirped, and Jeremy thought she was going to hug him, but she didn't do that, she just sat there, wearing that gentle smile on her face.

She was so innocent. So kind.

"How are you? Abroad, what was it like?"

"It was beautiful, the view of everything, I wanted to go back there." She mused, her eyes suddenly brimming with tears. "I have missed you guys so much."

Jeremy, Aubrey and Jayci hung out not so much, but they were the best of friends, hanging a
