The psychopathic lord leaned back in his chair, lighting a cigarette as fought to calm his rising temper. The girl had infuriated him when she ran, managing to wilfully escape a whole army of trained men; adept in battle. And yet, she avoided them; managing to make it to a watchtower. The little princess had warned the whole dimension of Darkous’ presence, giving Atlas and her brothers a chance to escape; to flee like cowards. He growled lightly when he heard her move in the cage, once again forcing his mood to soften as he turned to look at her; his mechanical white eyes lifeless. She curled into a tight ball on her side, her relentless cries continuing.
