Chapter 33

Rafe had gone back to his room to re-organise his thoughts. His father was right and he did not know for sure if Ivy would want to be with him the way he wanted to be with her. He laid on his bed calm as he thought deeply about the questions his father had asked him. They gave him great discomfort. That night, he slept late, his head full with worries of what might happen three days after.

The third day came and everyone was ready to go to the 'wedding'. Everyone except Rafe. 

The littlest son was sent to call on Rafe to come downstairs to join their father, mother and Raymond on their way to the wedding. Everyone was attending. Even Snow. 

Rafe heard the knock on his door and asked, "who is there?"

"Our father said I should fetch you. Everyone is ready. Everyone except you. You are expected to be downstairs and ready in five minutes" and soon, he could hear his younger brother retracting h
