Chapter 50

It was nearly morning, and he struggled, wanting to bolt. No way, I thought. I held on tight. We were not going to stay apart because of some curse. Hiding away was over.

“I need to go,” he said and pushed with slight force. He watched my unyielding face and shook his head.

“I saw your transformation. It does not bother me even a little bit.” I was lying, but it was for a good cause. We were bounded together no matter how he looked. I would not run from any of his forms.

He pushed me away, but I hung on like a leach. That had him trying all the tricks. He tickled my sides, but my will power kept strong. This was not a game. Of course, if he really wanted, then he was powerful enough to break free.

I was confident he would never do that to me. He would give in to my wishes. He would always make sure I was happy. I knew because I would do the same for him.
