I kept pushing Kala away but she wouldn’t budge. Since she managed to enter this VIP section, she had been all over me and people were watching, they’d think we were together.

I tried to discreetly signal to the security, but in the dim lights and the loud music, my attempts were unnoticed. Kala’s persistence was becoming increasingly embarrassing, and I felt trapped in the public eye.

As I scanned the room, my eyes met Megan’s, who had just entered. The shock and disappointment in her eyes were evident. I knew I had some explaining to do, and it needed to be done quickly.

“Kala, this isn’t the place. Let’s talk outside,” I said, trying to maintain composure.

She pouted, clearly displeased with my suggestion. “Why? We’re having fun here.”

I sighed, growing impatient. “Kala, please. Just follow my lead.”
