Chapter 36: The Fight

Harper's POV

Asher stands from the bed, never taking his eyes off me. He looks confused and worried.

"What's up? Have I done something wrong?" He asks, making his way over to me.

"I just ran into Drake in the hallway," I say, taking a step back from Asher to create some space between us, "He told me he saw you and Zoey in the woods yesterday afternoon declaring your love for each other."

Asher's mouth drops open, "What?"

"He told me you two are planning on running away together."

"That's bullsh*t!" Asher shouts, running his hands through his hair.

I shrug, "I thought the same thing, too. But I didn't see you yesterday until that night. You could've been anywhere."

"I told you where I was," Asher's voice is low now, "Why don't you believe me?"

I throw my hands into the air out of frustration, "I don't know what to believe anymore."

Asher begins to pace in front of me, "How many times have I told you I don't have feelings for Zoey anymore? You know my heart belongs to you now
