“Mrs. Red,” Edward sighed, “I’m inclined to inform you that this is not a good look for you given everything else that has come to light in recent days. Your father is concerned, and rightly so.”

I pinched the bridge of my nose, staring through the one way glass where James sat handcuffed, “Are you going to take on his case? I can’t get another lawyer in here until tomorrow, and I can’t stand the thought of him spending a night in jail.”
