Deafening Silence

"What! Why would I back out now?" Nicole asked, through the mind-link. Her eyes were narrowed as she looked through the window. They were already high up in the air and she didn't know if she would have to jump out if she decided to back out.

"You're obviously not ready to become Luna. The dream you had, do you realize how weak and pathetic you were? You were wolfless." Nate said and Nicole stilled.

It was true! She could recall how weak she was and also, she was wolfless. A wolfless person couldn't be any more weak.

"But I have my wolf now!" She said, in an irritated tone. For some reason, Nicole didn't want to agree to the fact that she was weak.

"You can still lose it, later on." Nate said, in a taunting tone.

Nicole then realized that he was right. The fact that she had that dream could as well mean that she could lose her wolf and she would be captured.
