Renounce My Chance

There was loud cackling in the air and Genevieve stood above Roman who had fallen onto his knees. She had a sword stained with Roman's blood, in hand. Her dress was torn and parts of her pale skin were visible.

On the other hand, Nate and Bryce were nowhere to be seen.

Nicole and Roman were now left to face Genevieve, together.

"W..what did you do?" Nicole cried out as she saw blood dripping down Roman's neck. His face was turning pale due to blood loss.

"Oh, you are awake!" Genevieve said with a smile.

"I guess the ritual worked then!" She added. It turned out that alongside capturing Nicole, she had been performing a series of witchcraft experiments on Nicole.

Genevieve had originally taken a vial of Roman's blood. She had planned for Roman to mark Nicole and then she would break the bond using the blood bond she had created using their blood.

That was how Roman's blood was effective on Nicole.

"You are not going to get what you want, Genevieve!" Nicole said, through gritted teeth.
