“Get the family doctor,” he ordered.

“Yes!” Tina screamed back in a panic.

He took her to the bedroom where they had spent the night the last time.

He set her on the bed and crouched before her, “where does it hurt?”

“I don’t know, I can’t seem to move my arm or leg,”

He gave her wrist a gentle squeeze and she winced, “it seems your hand is broken.”

Suddenly she widened her eyes, “oh no, the baby…” she pressed her free hand to her belly.

“Is the baby fine…”

“The doctor will be here in a minute.”

She thought his voice was a little too calm.

The doctor came in with the rest of the family trooping in.

He hurried to examine her, “thankfully the baby seems fine, it’s still too young to be impacted by such a fall, a few bones are broken in her wrist and ankle but otherwise she’s fine.”

Grandfather pressed his hand to his chest with a warm smile, the doctor just confirmed she was really pregnant.
