Cane pointed towards the last door down the hallway.

"That's her room. She wakes up pretty late. If she's not there then call her." He mumbled before he turned around and left.

I stared at his back, frowning at how tense his shoulders were as he left. Once Cane stepped around a corner and disappeared out of my sight, I let out a sigh and turned around.

I stared at the door he pointed towards. I bit my lower lip, anxiously telling myself to walk over there and get it over with.

I took a small step closer to the door, then another step followed. It took me nearly five minutes to get to a door that was just seconds away.

I stood in front of her door with my right hand raised up. I counted to three in my head before I softly knocked on the door.

I leaned closer to the door to hear if there was any movement behind it. When I heard nothing, I knocked again.

This time, I made sure to make my knock firm and loud.
