The next morning found Pamela and Kennedy in their private dining area. Kennedy was encouraging Pamela to have breakfast, but her appetite was overshadowed by nerves. She picked at the food, attempting to please Kennedy, who was watching her intently.

Their private moment was abruptly disrupted by security personnel who informed them of Vivian and Bernice's impending arrival. Pamela, startled, pushed her food aside and awaited their entry with a mix of apprehension and curiosity.

As Vivian and Bernice were ushered into the room, pleasantries were exchanged, but an unspoken tension hung in the air. Vivian finally broke the silence, her voice gentle but loaded with intent, "I was hoping we could talk."
