Chapter Forty-six: Calming His Storm.

 DAWN.

I rent a sigh of what I will probably call defeat as I drop on the bed, staring at the blank ceiling like it's the most interesting thing to do and seriously, at this moment of my life, it is the most interesting thing to do.

Minerva has finally gone to sleep after a lot of persuading from me and Ryder and her, crying her heart out of course. It shows just how much she really loves her father and seeing her cry took me back to when I lost my parents.

I shake my mind to get my mind off the thought, this isn't the time for me to break down as well.

Ever since he told me I should probably leave, and we convinced Minerva to bed, I haven't seen Ryder around since. I should probably stay away from him and keep my distance to secure my own heart, but I just want to make sure he's fine. I know he isn't, but I just want to see him.
