CHAPTER 143

A couple of minutes later, we all sat at the dining table; Mathew was at the head of the table with Aunt Celia on his left and William on his right while I sat beside William with Ethan In front of me.

I didn’t like this arrangement one bit cause I had planned on avoiding any form of eye contact with Ethan at this table but that seemed to be harder as he sat right in front of me and even kept nudging my foot.

The audacity!

In case it was still unclear who Ethan was, Ethan was the stranger I hadn’t put a name to, the man I had bumped into at the grocery store, In front of the hospital, close to the library, and worst of all, the one night stand I had months ago.

“It smells amazing in here,” Ethan commented, doing a chef’s kiss gesture. “You definitely outdid yourself ma.” He said kissing Celia on her cheek.

“That she did,” William said in agreement.

“Oh stop it you two, I definitely had a lot of help from Bailey.” She replied, glancing at me with a bright smile and I returned the smil
