"Hey."

Yoel got to his feet. Hesitating, Jace stood up, too.

Sage was dressed casually today. She wore a light blue blouse, and a pair of white trousers, and on her feet were a pair of high heels. She had a light gray sweater coat simply worn behind and tied in front of the body.

Though her outfit was simple, she looked fashionable and attractive.

Jace squinted slightly. Sage had never failed to surprise him with something new every time she showed up, but she had never once acted like the woman he had known.

The Sage that he knew had always dressed in warm-toned casual outfits, and she always wore her hair down or tied up in a bun. She had always presented herself as a good wife.

Jace had never had a problem with that, but it had always felt like she had been pretending to be someone she was not just so she could please him.

That made him feel uncomfortable.

The person standing in front of him was who she really was.

Even though he felt as if there was a distance between th
