CHAPTER FORTY-TWO

THREE MONTHS LATER

OPENING SEASON

The view of the white curtains swaying with the wind caught the attention of my barely opened eyes. Was I in heaven already?

 The tiny voices from behind the door which was a few meters away from me caught my ear. They seemed to be getting closer and closer. I slowly used my hands to sit upright, reviving the unbearable pain on my bandaged hands.

In fact, my whole body ached and that was when I realized I had bandages all around my body. So, I was alive?

The corner of my eye caught the sight of a familiar person resting her head on the edge of the bed caught my attention. Tears gathered in my eyes, it couldn’t be real. It had to be a dream.

The door suddenly clicked open as our eyes met.

The two cups of coffee on his hands went tumbling onto the floor, setting the one resting her head at the edge of my bed up. More tears came rolling down my bandaged face.
