Chapter: 22

Logan pulls out some ground beef, onions, and green peppers from the refrigerator in the kitchen. And on the counter, there was a brown bag that contained potatoes; before he could put them out, Dawn grabs his hand. “I want to help, let me pill them” Dawn stated, holding the bag. Logan nodded and went to the kitchen drawer and grab the potato pillar and the knife; he handed the potato pillar to Dawn, which Dawn grabbed and went over to the table with a bag and the potatoes and started pilling the skin off. Logan cut up the onions, and bell peppers and mix them up with the ground beef. Finally, the food that they made was meatloaf and mashed potatoes with green beans. The smell of the aroma had gotten Dawn mouthwatering, that she could not wait to dig in; when the plates were on the table, they both dug in. there was silence. The only thing you could hear was the forks hitting the plates as they scooped up the food to put in their mouths.
