Chapter 56: The Destination

That night, Allison couldn’t sleep.

After her talk with Matthew earlier, he said that he’d like to get some fresh air tomorrow, so they would be visiting the Miracle Well that he mentioned to her last time. Allison still thought that it was childish to go all the way to some magical well that granted people’s desperate wishes, but she did know that she needed to go outside and feel the sun on her face.

Her current condition was delicate, so they had to be careful. Matthew proposed that they come in the early hours of the morning so that there would barely be other people there.
