Aurora POV:

I felt a surge of fear and uncertainty wash over me. My heart pounded in my chest, and my hands trembled as I reached out to find Mark's presence in the dimly lit room. The air felt heavy and suffocating, as if it were echoing our shared apprehension.

Huddled together in the corner, Mark and I desperately sought solace in each other's company. Our voices quivered as we exchanged anxious whispers, attempting to devise a plan or make sense of our captors' motives. But with each passing moment, it became increasingly evident that our captors were bent on keeping us in the dark, both literally and figuratively.

I was starting to panic, my body shook violently.

In an attempt to maintain some semblance of sanity, Mark suggested we play a verbal game to distract ourselves from the harrowing reality surrounding us. I agreed, hoping that it would offer a temporary respite from the gnawing fear that threatened to consume me whole.
