Back on the bed

ISABELLA'S POV

The weather today was perfect. The sky was a brilliant shade of blue, not a cloud in sight. The sun bathed everything in a warm, golden glow, and a gentle breeze rustled the leaves of the nearby trees. The temperature was just right, neither too hot nor too cold.

I suggested that we have a mini picnic on the porch. I didn't want the perfect day to go to waste.

As we made our way to the porch, the air was filled with the sweet scent of blooming lavender flowers, and the distant sound of birdsong added to the enchanting atmosphere.

"Didn't Edward come back earlier? Is he home? I haven't said Hi to him."

"He left almost immediately," I said.

"Ugh... He's never at home. That is why you need a companion."

"I thought we were done with that topic," I said, feigning annoyance. She chuckled.
