Soren POV

Before I could realize it, Victor pulled me close to him and I saw a strange hand emerge from the ground, trying to hold me down. It's not like the undead we've seen before, no, this is something much worse, something unholy.

To make sure that nothing like this would happen, I created a barrier beneath our feet, so when we walked and this time the attack hit directly on the barrier, I shuddered with each hit, instinctively not wanting to see what exactly was attacking.

I swallowed because I knew that this was made of living people and that somehow this monstrosity was trapping the souls of the people who made up the monster. Victor looked at me, confused, not believing what we were seeing.

I closed my eyes and began to concentrate on the Light, se
