Helen desperately tried to call Jace back but he didn’t pick up the call. She knew he was probably messing with her but the way he ended the call was too taunting for her to just let it slide. She cursed under her breath and frantically reached for her laptop to search for the next available flight to London.

Luckily, there was one available to leave in an hour so he quickly dumped things she thought she would need and was hurrying out of the house.
