PRESENT DAY
I had been on my room resting when I heard my mother enter the front door.
“Maxine Precious Johns get your ass in here now!” she yelled so hard I’m sure the neighbors heard.

Max’s P.O.V I had been running for a day full now. I could hear them yelling at each other to find me, dogs barking closing in trying to get to me. “Why can’t we just use our speed to chase her?” one of them asked as I hid up on a tree inside a nest. “There are traps in this woods, it seems the owner is a hunter of some sort” another one said. Max’s P.O.V There are times I feel out of place, like I need a way forward but I am not asking. I’m rather settled in my pain, I wallow and reminisce unwanted moments without purpose. I mean we had been fine before but now that Sebastian is here, we either have to run and start over, which is a big change, or we have to go back home with him, and I am sure that isn’t part of our wishes. “I’m sorry, I just…” “I understand” I cut Maya off. She studied my face like she was looking for answers. ‘I wish I could tell you’ I sympathized with her. ‘We have to go’ Maya stated in our mind link. ‘We are already out of time. They might show up anytime. I am sure Sebastian followed us here although, I do not know what is taking him so long to show up’ she continued. ‘You know him well…’
