Chapter 71 Evolution Through Devourment

Carl turned his attention to Rio. The latter shook his head at him, indicating that he had not heard any strange noises.

"You must be kidding me…" Carl frowned and focused on the other side of the wall. He knew that he had indeed heard the sound of friction on the sandy soil from the red fog. It sounded like something was chewing and ingesting.

However, aside from the corpses of bugs everywhere, the only things remaining outside Punk Fortress were a large number of living bugs.

"No! Something must be happening down there!" Carl was very sure about his speculation. He tightened his hold on his War Spirit weapon, Massacre, in his right hand.

He calmed down ever so slightly after seeing that the soldiers around him had not relaxed their guard.
