"Not yet. Let me look around some more." Gavin didn't want to escalate the situation, thinking that Suzy was likely taken by her colleagues.

It would have been a good thing if that was the case.

Gavin returned to the table, picked up the bottle of wine, and left the restaurant. He then drove to a secluded spot, poured the wine into a trash can, and smashed the bottle before discarding it.

After everything was taken care of, he sent a text message to Suzy.

“[Miss Chase, did you get drunk? I couldn't find you when I went to look for you. I was thinking of finding a female colleague to take you back to the hotel. Did you already go back? If so, I won't disturb your rest. Let's talk tomorrow.”
