"Good evening,'' October said, greeting everyone that was at the table.

Alistair's mother, along with Daniel, were the only ones to send their greetings to her.

"Dinner will be ready, and served in the next thirty minutes," Louise said with a bow. Her eyes skipped over October's face. Something like pity flashed in her eyes before she left.

October sat uncomfortably in her chair because she was still in pain. She knew that Alistair's blood could heal her because he had done it many times before, but he didn't now. She held back a whimper after shuffling in the chair. She felt weak, broken and there was a pain in her chest, but no-one seems to care.

October looked at everyone at the table. Only Daniel seemed to be looking at her. He gave her a small smile. Demetre looked in her direction with a frown.
