Jackson was left along with Milo and Milu as Miya and Lucas followed the doctor out of the office.

It took quite a while for the three of them to return, and the moment they were all seated in the room again, Jackson knew that it was now or never for him to act.

So he casually stood up, making sure that his face remained expressionless. Then he glanced at Miya and said, “Excuse me. I need to make a call.” 

“Okay.” Miya absentmindedly said while staring at the bandage on her arm.

As Jackson was about to walk out the door his sight caught a glimpse of Lucas intensely gazing at him with a look of suspicion in his eyes. However, he ignored it and headed outside before shutting the door close.

Even though people were walking past him and the was noise echoing through the walls, the hospital still felt lonely and cold as Jackson strolled down the hall, searching for the room Miya and Lucas had just left.
