TRENT'S POV

It was exam period, which meant my days were spent shuffling between classrooms trying not to stress too much over all the tests. As if regular school wasn't hard enough!

This morning, I drove myself to campus, pulling into a parking spot near the athletic fields like I always did.

Stepping out of my car, I was immediately struck by the odd looks and whispers coming my way from clusters of students lingering.

Normally I'm used to getting checked out by admiring eyes, but even some of the guys were staring at me really strangely today. What's their deal? Did I accidentally put my shirt on backwards or something?

Shrugging it off, I headed towards the basketball courts where Coach had scheduled an early morning practice. As team captain, it was my duty to make sure I arrived first to get everything set up properly.
