Jax recompense

SOPHIE'S POV

"Alpha Jax?" I asked in disbelief. After what he did to me, what right did he have to visit the castle again and even ask about me?

I thought I had heard wrong but the nod of the maid reminded me that I was right and in the castle was someone I would hate to see.

"Why?" I asked the maid.

She looked around for a while, her eyes were filled with confusion "I have no idea, My Queen." She replied.

Of course, how would a maid know the reason someone as treacherous as Jax visited the castle all of a sudden? He was someone who once tried to ruin me after all.

"Tell him..." I paused as I thought of what to say to him. I didn't want to see him, I didn't want to go and meet him there... Also, the last thing I wanted was for Luke to see us together as I knew how angry he was back then.

I sucked in a deep breath and shook my head "Tell him I will be there in a few minutes." I replied and the maid left my room.
