16th March 1965

It was another fine morning waiting for them to join in the loneliness of it. The sun shone brightly alone in the yard, trying to peek into Murphy's room behind the curtains, waiting for her to rise.

She opened her heavy eyes as if awakened from a tedious job.

She remembered having slept too early yesterday's night, without even having dinner, she could remember that from the growling sound of her stomach, giving alarm of its hunger.

"Uh! What do you want again? Hungry all the time", she was talking to her tummy absent-mindedly, while she was in no mood to get out of bed and meet the worldly affairs again.

All she wanted a peaceful time in her warm bed, not wishing to want or yearn for anything, nor any relation, carefree from economical crisis, no health burdens, just a day for her own, free of any confusion, no sign of any diversion hanging over her head.

She sighed, looking at the clock, thinking about Nanny, who would have been up
