CHAPTER THIRTY-EIGHT

Outside the territory of the Red-moon pack…

Adrian walked into the cabin after going hunting to collect his thoughts; he knew from the start that they had to accept the Queen's offer because their little cabin wasn't safe enough to keep the people after them away; if they were at the western castle, they would surely be protected, and he wanted to make sure Serena was safe, even if it meant accepting help from a royal, seeing as she is his main priority now.

The cabin was as silent as a graveyard, which made him wonder where Serena was. So he dragged his tired body to the kitchen, put the dead rabbit in the sink, and went in search of Serena. He found her in her bedroom, sitting by the square window staring into the forest, looking lost in thought.

So Adrian took small steps towards her so as not to startle her, and when he got to where she was sitting, he put his hands on her shoulders to gain her attention, Serena turned to Adrian with a small smile on her face and kissed the hand
