The ambulance arrived as soon as I had placed the call. I didn’t want Alexander to die even though we haven’t been on the best of terms for the past few months. I wanted him alive and healthy. When I heard the approaching siren from the ambulance I thanked God. By now the scene was filled with well-wishers and newsmen who were trying to cover the incident first hand. I still held him in my arms, his blood gushing out from his shoulder. I was sure he was going to make it but the injury was severe. Clear, the medical team began to scream the moment they arrived.
