Feeling Better

About thirty minutes before, Agatha woke up from her sleep and started to open her eyes. She looked over at Chris beside her, who looked tired and deep in sleep. Agatha smiled, then gently stroked Chris' head.

"I'm sorry for avoiding your gaze for the past two days. And thank you for always being by my side and never leave me." Agatha murmured, then gently kissed Chris' forehead.

Afterward, she slowly got up from the bed and walked to her dressing table. She looked a mess, with hair that hadn't been combed for the past two days, nor had she showered for that long. She turned to Chris, and looked at him for a long time.

"You could have just left me for work. How could you stay with me while I look ugly and smell like this for two days?" Agatha felt guilty for letting Chris be by her side in her current state. So, she decided to take a shower and put on some makeup.

Upon hearing that she lost her baby, Agatha immediately felt empty and had no zest for life,
