Chapter 25

Melanie

"Oh my God," I whisper watching in horror as the big mansion of the packhouse burns down to ashes with everything in it.

The forest surrounding it is also set ablaze and the fire is wildly burning everything in sight.

It's disastrous.

"Where is everyone? " my shaky voice asks no one in particular, the sounds of women and children crying make me search around aimlessly but I can't find where they're coming from.

I move to the backyard where the party was held when I first came here and the sight before me brings me to my knees.

All pack members are tied up in a circle and are being slaughtered one by one, their dead bodies thrown into the fire surrounding them.

The men in black show no compassion on the crying kids and I wanna do something, anything but I can't. I can only watch in despair.

"Mel helps us" lily screams and I look at her direction to see a man grabbing her before slitting her throat mercilessly.

I cry dropping on my knees at the sight of my best friend's body
