Aires' POV

I sat alone in the basketball court, school hour is over but I am not in a hurry to go back home, I had told the principal that I needed to do extra time reading in the school, so she had permitted me to stay in the school after instructing me to make sure that I lock up when I am done, my mind is flooded with different questions, I lay alone in the basketball court and stared at the amulet in my hand, I wonder what it stands for, I placed it around my neck, then taking out the little penknife I had put earlier in my bag, I slit my palm and watched blood ooze out, it didn't heal on its own, slowly, I removed the amulet from around my neck and watched as the injury closed up and I didn't feel an ounce of pain anymore, what could this mean? Who gave me the amulet? I think it's time I talked to mother about how I got the amulet and to understand why my injuries would get healed on their own, I need to keep wearing the amulet, I do not want to get injured one day and everyone
